Винтажная, но надёжная: российская ракета-носитель «Союз» названа одной из лучших в мире

The Progress Rocket Space Centre is proud of its development

The General Director of the Progress Rocket Space Centre (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation), Dmitry Baranov, stated that the Russian Soyuz rocket is among the best rockets in the world. This happened after the successful launch of the Soyuz-2.1b with the remote sensing satellite Resurs-P. It became exactly the two-thousandth for the R-7 family of rockets, which have been launching since May 15, 1957.

The machine, although it has a certain vintage feel, is nevertheless one of the most reliable machines operating on this planet today. We are very proud that we developed it.

The anniversary launch vehicle was launched today at 10:45 Moscow time from site No. 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. The satellite's insertion into the target orbit and its separation from the third stage of the rocket proceeded as normal.

Resurs-P became the anniversary hundredth Russian satellite launched into orbit by Roscosmos in 2024.
