Specialists from the Grozny State Oil Technical University (GSOTU) named after Academician M. D. Millionshchikov have presented a new neural network that can recognize various types of birds and determine their health. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The neural network, which has already been patented, includes an extensive database of bird diseases and their visual symptoms. Sensors will be installed in areas where birds congregate and in park areas to record the number of sick individuals. The data obtained will be transmitted to the Center for Epidemiology, which will allow for a quick response to potential environmental problems.
The developed neural network not only distinguishes between bird species, but also collects information about their location, which will greatly simplify the creation of an extensive database. Previously, this required a lot of time and resources, but now the automation of the process will reduce the time and increase the accuracy of the information collected in urban, forest and wild ecosystems.
