Inertial navigation systems for MC-21, SSJ, Il-114, Tu-214, and Il-96 aircraft to be produced in the Tambov region starting in 2025

The manufacturer of navigation equipment based on laser gyroscopes, the "Elektropribor" plant, will open a new workshop with an area of 7.5 thousand m²

In the Tambov region, a workshop for the production of inertial navigation systems for civil aircraft will begin operations in 2025. The "Radioelectronic Technologies" concern of the "Rostec" state corporation plans to produce them at the new facilities of the "Elektropribor" plant, having additionally built a workshop with an area of 7,500 m². This is reported on the government website.

As part of a working trip to the Tambov region, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov visited the "Elektropribor" plant, which specializes in the production of navigation equipment based on laser gyroscopes. The company employs more than 4,200 people, and the volume of shipped products has increased by more than 20% in two years, reaching 15.5 billion rubles.

The plant is actively working on modernization. In particular, in 2025, it is planned to begin construction of a new workshop for the production of strapdown inertial navigation systems for civil aviation (MC-21, SSJ, Il-114, Tu-214, Il-96 aircraft). This will create 250 additional jobs. In addition, the company is mastering the production of medical products that will replace foreign analogues.
