Specialists from Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU) have improved the synchronous motor. The new method allows tracking the rotation speed and rotor position.
The developed approach is based on an adaptive observer scheme. The fuzzy regulator, taken as a basis, is based on the knowledge of a human expert. This will allow more accurate and stable control of the motor operation.
The results showed that the use of a fuzzy regulator improves the main indicators of control quality in both cases. For example, overshoot (exceeding the required level of control action) in ideal conditions is reduced from 5% to 1%, and in conditions of changing engine parameters - from 10% to 2%.
The development is an alternative to the standard method of controlling synchronous motors. It can be used in motors of drones, electric scooters, bicycles, fuel and oil pumps.
Earlier www1.ru reported that PNRPU created a 3D printing technology for stents for the treatment of ischemic heart disease.
