Objective footage has emerged of the operation of the Tula-based 300-mm 9K58 "Smerch" MLRS using guided 9M55K rockets with fragmentation warheads.
They include 25,920 ready-made light fragments for engaging infantry in protective gear and 6,912 heavy fragments for engaging lightly armored enemy vehicles.
The "Smerch" ammunition also includes advanced 300-mm guided 9M525 rockets with higher-impulse solid-propellant rocket motors and an increased range of up to 90 km.
Main characteristics of the "Smerch" MLRS:
