The complex is distinguished by the presence of combined missile and gun armament, short reaction time, and the ability of the combat vehicle to conduct reconnaissance and destroy aerial targets on the move.
The "Pantsir-S1" is designed for the air defense of small military and administrative-industrial facilities and areas from helicopters, aircraft, precision-guided weapons, and cruise missiles, as well as to reinforce air defense groups in repelling massive air attack strikes.
