Huanghai-based pickup truck may have a payload capacity of up to 1600 kg

The Nizhny Novgorod-based car manufacturer "Promtekh" has unveiled a new SUV called "Kapitan". According to automotive journalist and editor-in-chief of the magazine "Za Rulem", Maxim Kadakov, it is based on the chassis of the Chinese Huanghai N2 pickup truck.

Also from the Chinese manufacturer, the car retains the native frame, rear leaf spring and front coil spring suspension, rigid подключаемый drive to the front wheels, a 129 hp diesel engine, and a manual transmission.

The "Kapitan" will feature Russian-made bodies and settings. It is assumed that the payload capacity of the Russian-Chinese pickup truck will be up to 1300-1600 kg.

How much these cars will cost is still unknown, but Kadakov suggests that the price will be at least 2.6 million rubles.
