The official website of the Lada representative office in the United Arab Emirates has started operating in test mode. According to published data, the entire range of the brand's products will be presented in the UAE, including both Niva models, all versions of Vesta, as well as cars of the Granta and Largus families.
It is curious that the website is created in English, not in Arabic. Information about the products is presented in such a way that the emphasis in promoting Lada cars is placed on the Niva Legend and Niva Travel SUVs.
You can already find out the starting prices for some car modifications. For example, the Niva Legend will cost a minimum of 67,000 UAE dirhams, which is approximately 1,780,000 rubles. The price for Niva Travel starts from 81,700 UAE dirhams (approximately 2,170,000 rubles). Vesta Sedan is even more expensive, its cost starts from 88,700 UAE dirhams (about 2,357,000 rubles).
One of the readers of "Autopotok", who works in the automotive industry in the United Arab Emirates, expressed doubts about the success of Lada Vesta sales in the market of this country.
In his opinion, the price of 88,700 dirhams (which is approximately 2,357,000 rubles) makes the car uncompetitive, since most similar models cost less.
For comparison, you can cite the Toyota Yaris Sedan, a car that has similar dimensions, but costs much less in the UAE - from 64,000 dirhams (which is approximately 1,700,000 rubles).
As a reminder, sales of Russian cars in the UAE should start before the end of 2024. The President of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, confirmed that the car certification process is already underway. In addition, AvtoVAZ was going to export Lada cars to Vietnam, Oman, Syria, Iran and Turkey.
Earlier in Abu Dhabi, production of Aurus Senat cars started. The brand decided to start launching cars earlier than planned, given the high interest in the brand from potential buyers - Arab sheikhs and oil magnates.
