Assembly of Aurus Senat cars has begun at a production site in Abu Dhabi, according to Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov. He said that Aurus Komendant SUVs will also be produced here in the future.
It is noted that the Russian premium brand plans to open Aurus dealerships in the UAE. They will offer customers car customization. Aurus will also appear in other Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia.
Manturov confirmed that such plans exist. However, the brand must first establish itself in the Emirates, the minister emphasized.
The Aurus dealership, as well as the launch of car production, was scheduled to start in 2024. But the brand decided to start producing the Senat ahead of schedule, given the interest of potential buyers in the brand. We are talking about Arab sheikhs and oil magnates.
The Aurus Senat was first shown to the general public in 2018. An updated version of the sedan is expected to be presented in 2024. According to media reports, the Senat will be equipped with an engine that is installed on the Chinese Tank 500. There is no official confirmation of this information.
