Sales of Lada cars will begin in 2024 at a dealership in Dubai. AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov confirmed that the process of certifying cars in the UAE is already underway.
The owner of the dealership, located on the central automobile street in Dubai, showed interest in the Lada brand. He came to our factory and signed a dealer agreement. The first batch of cars is now being purchased for testing and, accordingly, the process of obtaining certification for the UAE market is underway.
According to him, the authorities of all countries are very attentive to the requirements for car certification.
Old certificates that existed under the previous shareholders are no longer suitable. The electronic architecture of cars, control units, active and passive safety systems have changed. Everything has to be done again. Moreover, this applies to our entire lineup, including Largus. I hope that this year will be enough for this.
Earlier, Sokolov stated that there are currently no precedents for unjustified price increases among LADA dealers. According to him, if desired, customers can buy cars without additional equipment at the manufacturer's recommended price.
