The "R-Fleet" group of companies announced that it has completed the construction of a series of barges of its RBD4608 project. According to this project, 18 units of cargo fleet have already been built for various regions.
A series of eight barges was built at the Cherepovets Shipbuilding Plant by order of the State Transport Leasing Company. The first barge from the series was handed over to the customer in April 2024, the last one in October.
Project RBD4608
This is a non-self-propelled hold barge for the transportation of mineral-building materials and grain, taking into account loading and unloading with grabs. The barge is suitable for use as part of a caravan of 12-15 small barges and two tugs, carrying a total of up to 9 thousand tons of various cargoes.

It is known that the last eight barges of the RBD4608 project will be operated on rivers along the route from Cherepovets to Astrakhan.
