SAAZ Komplekt, a supplier of spare parts for AvtoVAZ, has announced the introduction of structural changes to the shock absorbers for LADA Niva. The improvements concern both oil and gas-filled shock absorbers.
One of the key innovations is the corrugated cover, which has been tested and put into production. This element provides increased protection of the sealing unit from external factors such as dust and dirt. According to test results, this solution significantly reduces the likelihood of damage to the sealing element, which, in turn, extends the service life of the shock absorbers.
In addition, a new painting technology using cataphoretic coating was applied. This provides a high level of corrosion protection, which also contributes to increasing the durability of shock absorbers. The modified design of the cover eliminates the risk of defects such as cracks and fractures, which could be observed on previous models with a cylindrical cover.
