Найдёт затонувшие суда, изучит дно: что может новый российский морской беспилотник «Оркан»

It has already surveyed part of the water area of the "Big Port of St. Petersburg" seaport and completed a number of other tasks

At the Baltic Branch of the FGBU "Morspassluzhba", developers from "Si Project" presented their universal marine robotic complex "Orkan".

The UMRK "Orkan" is designed for hydrographic work and is equipped with domestic hydroacoustic systems. It allows solving hydrography tasks, mapping the seabed and searching for sunken objects during emergency rescue operations at sea. As a demonstration of its capabilities, the complex surveyed part of the water area of the "Big Port of St. Petersburg" seaport.

The universal marine robotic complex "Orkan", according to experts, represents a significant step in the development of domestic marine technology and will significantly improve the quality and efficiency of hydrographic work. Experts also believe that such complexes will be widely used not only in Russia, but also abroad, due to their reliability, accuracy and ease of use.

Earlier, "Si Project" developed a universal marine robotic complex "Zefir" with elements of artificial intelligence. This drone can perform both scientific and defense-related tasks for Russia. "Zefir" has a unique hull material: it is not susceptible to corrosion, has high radio transparency and has no electromagnetic signature.
