The Russian government has approved requirements for miners. We tell you more about what the officials have come up with.
Individual entrepreneurs will be able to mine. To do this, they will need to register in a special register. Government agencies, the Central Bank, grid organizations and power systems will have access to the register of miners. It is possible to do without the status of an individual entrepreneur. But because of this, restrictions will apply: you can consume up to 6 thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity per month, if more, then you need the status of an individual entrepreneur.
Miners must report to the tax authorities. Provide information about how much cryptocurrency they have mined and where they have credited it. This information will be transferred to law enforcement agencies if necessary.
The government's requirements also stipulate that miners must monitor stable power supply and ensure the reliability, uninterrupted operation and protection of the services provided.
In certain regions, authorities will be able to restrict mining in the event of a risk of electricity shortages, if the Ministry of Energy or regional authorities appeal to the commission for the development of the electric power industry.
