The production modernization process is underway at the USC Sevmash plant in Severodvinsk. Workers have completed the equipment upgrade of the oxygen station. It is located in gas workshop No. 12.
The oxygen station received new equipment that uses atmospheric air to produce several types of gases: gaseous oxygen, liquid oxygen, and liquid nitrogen. High-quality oxygen produced on the updated equipment is needed for gas-flame treatment of metals in production.
The higher the purity of oxygen, the better the cutting and severing of metal, which is important for shipbuilding. The main consumer of this gas at Sevmash will be the fifth hull processing workshop.
