Россия начала экспортировать дроны-камикадзе «КУБ-Э»

Manufacturers promise that there will be enough "KUBs" both for the needs of customers within the country and for export

The Kalashnikov concern has announced that it is preparing the first batch of its "KUB-E" guided munitions with combat experience for deliveries under an export contract. The contract was concluded at Rosoboronexport JSC with a foreign customer, which has not yet been named.

The guided munition, also known as the KUB kamikaze drone, is a development of the ZALA Aero group of companies, which is part of the Kalashnikov concern. It is designed to engage single and group armored vehicle targets in the tactical depth of the enemy, operating both day and night in winds with gusts of up to 10 m/s. The complex's control system allows for the transmission of control commands in real time.

Certain modifications of the "KUB" are equipped with thermal imaging homing sensors, providing the ability to conduct additional reconnaissance before engaging a target, or for possible retargeting, or for target designation to other kamikaze UAVs.

In November 2021, the "KUB-E" successfully passed state tests, and in 2022, a decision was made to supply the first "KUB" products to customers.

The production capacities of the Kalashnikov concern make it possible to fully meet all the needs of Russian customers for this type of product and to carry out export deliveries of "KUBs" without prejudice to contracts concluded within the country.
