The plane made an emergency landing in the Novosibirsk region a year ago and has now become a donor of equipment for its counterparts in the airline fleet

Ural Airlines reported on how its crashed aircraft is being dismantled for spare parts. The company decided in August 2024 to give a second life to the Airbus A320 RA-73805, which has been standing in a wheat field near Novosibirsk since its emergency landing in September 2023.

First of all, the elements of the passenger cabin and cockpit were removed.

Also, the radio-electronic equipment, elements of the hydraulic system, fuel system, air conditioning system, both engines, and most of the wing mechanization have already been completely dismantled. In fact, this is the first case of official public "cannibalization" of an aircraft in Russia.

All components are sent to the airline's aviation technical center. The engines are already on their way and will soon arrive in Yekaterinburg. And the aircraft itself was excluded by Rosaviatsiya from the operator's certificate in accordance with the procedure of the Federal Aviation Regulations, and the airworthiness certificate was canceled.

The carrier's engineering and technical staff continues to dismantle parts and assemblies from the Airbus А320 aircraft.

Ural Airlines notes that they still have 51 Airbus aircraft in their fleet: 22 А320 aircraft, 14 – А321, 4 - А319, 3 – A320neo, and 8 – A321neo.
