В Санкт-Петербурге разработали маскирующие накладки для протезов ног

Additive Technologies Used to Create the Innovation

Masking pads for leg prostheses have been created at the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (GUAP). This was reported by the university's press service.

The development is based on additive technologies. The pads replicate the anatomical features of healthy limbs.

They not only conceal the absence of a leg but also recreate a natural appearance, restoring a harmonious body image and confidence in one's appearance. This is especially important for people who have undergone amputation and may experience psychological discomfort due to changes in their appearance.

The innovation operates on a technology based on the analysis of data on the individual characteristics of the client's healthy leg (texture, skin, and shape). This information is used as the basis for creating the pads for prostheses.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that "Motorica" is expanding production and planning an IPO.
