Корабельный «Аллигатор»: Ка-52К «Катран» отработал приземление на российский фрегат «Адмирал Головко»

The helicopter has two powerful anti-ship cruise missiles capable of destroying the enemy's fleet

The shipborne helicopter was received on deck while the "Admiral Golovko" was anchored in the Kola Bay and in the Barents Sea. In total, more than 30 landings and takeoffs were performed from the ship's deck.

Training flights took place during the daytime. The pilots performed landings on the frigate's deck both stationary and in motion. The helicopter pilots also conducted flights around the frigate to check its radio-technical armament, air defense systems, communication systems, and aviation control.

Ka-52K "Katran" is a shipborne version of the Ka-52 "Alligator" helicopter with a shortened folding wing, which houses heavy weapons, and a blade folding mechanism for placement in the ship's hangar.

Its functions include patrolling, providing fire support to troops during a naval landing, and countering enemy ships at sea, as well as engaging ground targets from a long distance, such as enemy seaports. Unlike its land-based counterpart, the "Katran" is equipped with powerful Kh-31 or Kh-35 anti-ship cruise missiles capable of hitting the enemy's fleet.

Earlier, the Russian frigate "Admiral Golovko" used the "Poliment-Redut" SAM system against a drone. The effective range of the 9M100 SAM reaches 15 km.
