The "Russian Helicopters" Holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has tested the flight of the first serial model of the advanced Ka-32A11M helicopter. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation.
The first flight of the serial model was conducted at the flight test station of the Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise of the "Russian Helicopters" Holding.
During the flight, the machine performed a control hover and a series of maneuvers, which confirmed the stability and controllability of the helicopter, as well as the operability of the modernized equipment.
The Ka-32A11M has received a number of improvements:
- VK-2500PS-02 power plants — higher power engines equipped with digital automation for control.
- Digital flight and navigation system. Created on the principle of a "glass cockpit" with the display of aircraft and environmental parameters on special displays. This facilitates the work of the crew.
- Updated radio navigation equipment. Increases flight safety in any weather.
- The external and internal lighting equipment of the helicopter provides for the use of night vision goggles.
The modernized model is effective in rescue and high-altitude installation work, as well as in extinguishing fires in cities, plains and mountainous areas.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian concern Rostec at the international venue in Dubai presented an improved version of the Ka-32A11M fire-fighting helicopter.
