The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec) accounts for about 40% of the global market for engines for frontline aviation. This was stated by the Deputy Head of UEC Mikhail Remizov.
Only a few countries in the world possess gas turbine engine technologies. We are in this top league thanks to our predecessors. In Russia, the engine-building industry has been developing for more than a hundred years. For example, UEC-Klimov will soon be 110 years old.
According to Remizov, Russian engine manufacturers supply more power plants for military aviation than foreign companies Pratt & Whitney and General Electric. At the same time, the share of civil engine building is only 2-3%.
UEC also produces engines for Su-57, Su-35 fighters and Ka-52 Mi-28 helicopters and many others. These combat vehicles are in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces.
