«IrAero» intends to purchase new SJ-100, MS-21, and Tu-214 from UAC

In total, the carrier's fleet will be replenished with 37 domestic aircraft by 2035

Currently, IrAero's fleet includes seven SSJ-100s, but they are ready to purchase its new domestic version as well. According to UAC, an agreement of intent has been signed with IrAero for the supply of 21 SJ-100 short-haul aircraft, as well as seven MS-21 medium-haul aircraft and nine Tu-214s.

It is noted that the aircraft will be transferred to the airline through a lessor by 2035.

Expanding IrAero's fleet with the import-substituted version of the «Superjet», as well as domestic medium-haul aircraft, is a logical development of the successful operating model that has developed in the airline. For the Russian aircraft industry, in turn, this agreement is another step towards forming a stable portfolio of orders for the 2030-2035 horizon. This will allow us to plan investment volumes in the development of production and human resources in advance, and will give the teams of our enterprises the opportunity to look to the future with confidence.
Andrey Boginsky, Deputy General Director of UAC for Civil Aviation - General Director of PJSC «Yakovlev» .

Earlier it became known that «Aeroflot» plans to transfer 34 contracted Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) aircraft to other Russian airlines under sublease. This means that «Aeroflot» will fulfill its obligations to purchase «Superjets», but will not fly them themselves.
