Aircraft "Baikal"

Development of "Baikal Engineering", a "daughter" of the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA). According to UZGA aircraft manufacturers, "Baikal", thanks to the best indicators in the class in terms of flight range, maximum speed and payload, is "an ideal aircraft for performing tasks of any type".

The turboprop LMS-901 "Baikal" with the Russian VK-800SM power plant should replace the Soviet An-2, known as the " кукурузник" ( кукурузник). It should increase the accessibility of remote regions and develop local air traffic.

According to the requirements of regional carriers, the aircraft received such characteristics as the ability to carry up to nine people and up to two tons of payload, a flight range of up to 1.5 thousand km, and a cruising speed of 300 km/h.

The LMS-901 "Baikal" will be able to solve a wide range of tasks: from cargo-passenger transportation to performing forestry aviation work and providing sanitary aviation services.
