It contains communications important for a successful launch

RSC Energia informs about the continuation of the assembly of the Soyuz MS-26 spacecraft at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. It has been docked with the transfer compartment.

The transfer compartment will connect the Soyuz MS-26 to the fairing and the rocket. And this is not just a mechanical connection: as explained by RSC Energia, important communications also pass through there, uniting the systems of the rocket and the spacecraft.

It has 12 pyrotechnic bolts that trigger approximately 8.5 minutes after launch – the third stage of the carrier separates, and the ship goes further, to the ISS. According to the plan, Soyuz MS-26 will deliver astronauts for a "crew change" on the station.
