- change the oil within the timeframes prescribed by the instructions.
Why change the oil twice as often as prescribed by the instructions? Is this some form of paranoia? All factory resource tests are carried out in compliance with the most common oil change intervals and other consumables, the car is designed for this mode of operation. You can change the oil every thousand kilometers, but it is unlikely to extend the life of the car. Rather, it will lead to unjustified operating costs.
