The Russian MC-21 aircraft, during preparations for demonstration flights, performed an aerobatic maneuver from combat aviation called the Immelmann turn. This was reported by the Rostec press service.
The published footage shows the aircraft gaining altitude at a constant angle of inclination and changing its direction of flight without losing altitude. This maneuver is usually used by combat aircraft during a counterattack or attack.
Such capabilities of the Russian aircraft are ensured by the reliability of the design, a modern control system, and perfect aerodynamics.
The corporation noted that the specified aircraft was without cargo and with incomplete refueling to increase thrust-to-weight ratio.
The MC-21 is a domestic medium-range narrow-body aircraft. The maximum flight range is 5,100 km, the planned capacity is up to 211 passengers, and the maximum commercial load is 21,300 kg.
Earlier, the Ansat helicopter was shown at the Army-2024 forum. It was equipped with a medical module for transporting the injured and sick.
