Experts believe that such protection can successfully withstand attacks by kamikaze drones, which have become one of the main threats to armored vehicles at the present time.
In addition, a similar design was used on the T-90M. On the Omsk T-80BVM, it differs visually, but is equivalent in its effectiveness. Currently, combat vehicles modernized in this way have already been sent to the troops and are preparing to perform combat missions.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the newest UAV of the "flying wing" type was presented at "Army-2024". The speed of the aircraft is up to 120 km/h, the communication range is 60 km, and the flight duration is up to 4.5 hours.
