It flew! The Progress MS-28 space truck launched from Baikonur

The truck will deliver 2621 kg of cargo to the ISS, including valuable equipment for new experiments

At 06:20 Moscow time, a Soyuz-2.1a rocket with the Progress MS-28 cargo ship was launched from Baikonur. According to Roscosmos, the ship's insertion into the target orbit, its separation from the third stage of the rocket, and the deployment of antennas and solar panels went smoothly, without incidents.

The flight follows a two-day rendezvous scheme. Docking to the Russian Zvezda module on the ISS is scheduled for August 17 at 08:56 Moscow time. The broadcast of the process will be conducted by the Roscosmos State Corporation.

Progress MS-28 will spend 179 days in orbit, after which it will undock from the ISS, deorbit and burn up in the dense layers of the atmosphere. After that, its remains, like those of its predecessors, will sink in the Pacific Ocean.
