Video hosting opens through Google Chrome, Opera and Safari browsers

The browser version of YouTube video hosting has started working again for some users in Russia through Google Chrome, Opera and Safari browsers, but it is still unavailable for most users. YouTube continues to be unavailable for viewing in the Mozilla Firefox browser.

According to the Downdetector service, the number of complaints about YouTube's operation in Russia has decreased to 2,000 from more than 30,000. Previously, the YouTube mobile application stopped playing videos on mobile phones with iOS and Android operating systems.

On August 3, the video hosting stopped playing videos in high quality in almost all browsers on desktop PCs in Russia, and on August 8, it stopped opening in the browser version on desktop PCs. The failure in YouTube's operation, which began on August 1, also affected users of the video hosting application on iOS and Android.
