Photos from tests of special modules for geological exploration, created by the Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ), PJSC KAMAZ and the Research Automobile Institute, have been published online.
The modules were installed on SV-30-M3 digital vibrators and will be used in seismic exploration. The device sends a signal into the ground, and the depth and nature of the deposits are analyzed based on its reflection.
During the tests, KAMAZ-based vehicles were able to overcome slopes of 20% and drove on concrete and dirt surfaces.
It should be reminded that special vehicles for geological exploration used to be purchased from a French company. Now, Russia has import-substituted equipment that is no worse than foreign equipment.
