Despite sky-high prices, demand for new cars in Russia increased by 44.6% in the first quarter of 2024. LADA remains the most popular brand. Its market share was 29.3%.
Among the models, LADA Granta became the market leader, accounting for 11% of sales in the first quarter of 2024. Second place is LADA Niva Legend (classic "Niva") - its share is 6.9%. Third place - LADA Vesta with a score of 6.1%.
The popularity of LADA is understandable, these are the most affordable cars on the new car market in Russia. So, LADA Granta in the "Standard" version is available for 700 thousand rubles, and prices for LADA Niva Legend start from 981,000 rubles - you can’t find a cheaper sedan and SUV on the new car market.
Among foreign cars, the most popular were Haval Jolion and Omoda C5. Their market share was 3.3% and 2.7%, respectively. In addition, LADA Niva Travel, "Moskvich 3", Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, Cherry Tiggo 4 Pro, and GAC GS8 remain among the popular models.
