The Russian multirole supersonic fighter-bomber Su-34 (NATO codification: Fullback), capable of dropping glide bombs and destroying large enemy strongholds, remains the most important asset of the Russian Aerospace Forces. This is according to the Indian publication Eurasian Times.
According to the Frontelligence Insight analytical group, the supersonic Su-34 needs only a few minutes to reach the missile launch zone and then return to its departure base. Military analyst, retired Indian Air Force officer Vijainder K. Thakur, also spoke about the high operational characteristics of the aircraft. In his opinion, the Su-34 is the "most powerful" fighter in the Russian Aerospace Forces fleet.
Judging by its operational characteristics, the Su-34 is currently the most powerful and cost-effective strike fighter in the world. Its success as a bomb delivery platform with the ability to launch Kinzhals has spurred further development.
Eurasian Times writes that the Su-34 previously dropped a FAB-3000 bomb on an enemy object. Prior to that, the fighter-bomber crew conducted a test launch of the hypersonic Kinzhal missile. This further expanded the arsenal and increased the firepower of the Su-34, the Indian journalists summarized.
Earlier, www1.ru wrote that the German publication Bild called the FAB-3000 a "terrible bomb."
