The Roscosmos State Corporation is starting to accept orders for satellite imagery from consumers. Not only government agencies, but also ordinary Russians can order it.
According to the space agency, this became possible due to the fact that the Earth remote sensing satellite «Ресурс-П» № 4 was put into operation.
The Resurs-P space system is designed for remote sensing of the Earth in the visible and near-infrared ranges; its target information is used for monitoring natural resources, emergency areas, creating and updating maps, monitoring pollution, construction, assessing ice conditions, and much more.
Federal executive authorities, regional executive authorities, organizations, citizens and other interested consumers can order satellite imagery through a separate Geoportal of Roscosmos.
