SberBank has urged clients who own iOS devices to download its "Smart Online" application from the App Store. This was reported by the bank's press service.
From today, Sber clients who own phones with the iOS operating system can once again download a secure application from the App Store to access SberBank Online. The new application is called "Smart Online"
Bank employees warned users that attackers have already created a fake application to deceive customers. It is called "Sber: New Access to Sbol" and is also available for download on the App Store.
This application in the App Store is fake. We have already sent a request to block it. We ask our clients to be vigilant and not download it.
The Sber press service added that before installing applications, users are advised to only follow official links and monitor information on the bank's channels and website.
The bank urged users to download the application from the App Store as soon as possible, warning that they would soon begin disabling older versions of the Sberbank Online application for iOS. By the end of the year, versions 12.14.1, 12.15, 13.0.2, 14.3 and 14.11 will be discontinued.
The "Smart Online" application provides access to the latest version of Sberbank Online. It appeared in the AppStore on June 18, 2024.
At the time of writing, the fake application is still available in the App Store.
As a reminder, access to the Sberbank Online application was restricted on the AppStore platform in April 2022. But a year later, it reappeared in the general catalog, but under a different name — SBOL.
