The head of KamAZ, Sergey Kogogin, criticized Itelma (NPP Itelma LLC) — the largest Russian electronics manufacturer. The top manager noted that since 2021, car prices have increased by 40%, while electronics units have quadrupled in price. He believes that Itelma is parasitizing on the problems of the automotive industry.
Kogogin explained that the situation with automotive electronics is a pain point for automakers. He drew attention to the fact that the head of Itelma, Alexey Vorobyov, talks about how the prices of auto components have increased. At the same time, the cost of electronics produced by companies belonging to NPP Itelma LLC for domestic auto giants KamAZ and AvtoVAZ has quadrupled since 2021, Kogogin noted.
