New Russian components will appear in the "Moskva-2024", "Moskva-2020" metro cars and "Ivolga" electric trains. The intercar gangways will be domestically produced. Their production is starting in the Voronezh region, providing jobs for thirty people.
The production was launched by the company "Center for Transport Equipment", which is part of the KSK group of companies. This required investments of more than 200 million rubles, of which 157 million rubles for the purchase of high-tech equipment was provided by the federal Industrial Development Fund in the form of a concessional loan under the "Component Products" program. The loan helped to launch mass production faster and reduce the design time for new domestic components.
In addition, during the production localization project, a unique test bench was developed for Russia, which is designed to simulate the passage of rolling stock cars through various sections of the track. The stand will allow CTK specialists to increase their competence, study the kinematics of car movement and test new design and technological solutions.
All metal components of the gangways are now made entirely from domestic raw materials and materials. According to the manufacturers, they have corrosion protection for the entire service life of the rolling stock, and the average time between failures of the gangway is at least 1 million km of car mileage. At the same time, the performance of the manufactured gangways will be the same throughout the country – from the Far North to the southernmost regions of Russia.
