The first Russian drone with a thermal imager was developed at Shvabe

The Shvabe holding of Rostec presented its drone with a thermal imaging channel, UAV 400T, at the Expotechnostrazh exhibition in St. Petersburg.

This light and compact helicopter-type quadcopter from the specialists of OKB Astron, which is part of the holding, is the first fully domestic drone with a thermal imager.

The characteristics of the UAV 400T make it versatile for military purposes for reconnaissance and target designation:

• drone flight range - up to 6 kilometers;
• continuous operation time - 50 minutes;
  
• ability to "see" a person regardless of the time of day and conditions at a distance of up to 400 meters;
  
• equipped with a jam-resistant communication line with the operator.
  

In civilian life, it is indispensable, in particular, for finding mushroom pickers and tourists lost in forests and hard-to-reach areas.

At the end of March, at the Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics exhibition, the UAV 400T was already one of the main exhibits at the Shvabe stand in the direction of security systems.

However, the UAV 400T was shown there as part of the Blokpost reconnaissance complex with intelligent analytics. This complex allows you to detect various objects in difficult operating conditions. The video image received from the camera on the drone is displayed in real time on a head-mounted television device (VR glasses).

Earlier, "The First Technical" already wrote about other interesting exhibits of this year's "Expotechnostrazh". In particular, Shvabe has developments in the detection of people and disguised potentially dangerous objects in difficult conditionsSWIR and Astron-3V. They will help in the search for spies and saboteurs on the borders and pipelines of Russia.
