Soviet 12.7 mm Degtyarev-Shpagin Large-Caliber (DShK) machine guns have become a formidable weapon for combating aerial, ground, and naval targets. Specialists from the "PPSh Laboratory" have installed a system with the "Legat" thermal sight on it.
It is not in our rules to show the result partially, but still I want to boast: a sighting system based on the "Legat" thermal sight for large-caliber ship machine guns, in order to successfully destroy unmanned enemy boats
Technical characteristics of the modified DShK:
- rate of fire — from 600 to 1,200 rounds per minute, depending on the firing mode
- bullet speed — up to 860 m/s
- sighting range — up to 3.5 km
- use at any time of the day
- displaying the target image on the monitor
The "PPSh Laboratory" has released a line of "Legat" thermal sights, which differ in matrix, lens, and the presence of a video recording function. The company also produces thermal binoculars and monoculars.
Earlier, specialists from the Khrulev Military Academy of Logistics patented a mount for the Kalashnikov machine gun. With its help, it will be more convenient for the military to shoot down low-flying UAVs.
