The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec) will increase its production plan for power plants for aircraft and helicopters in 2024. This was announced by a Rostec representative at the "Russia" forum, which is taking place in Moscow.
According to the presentation, the production volume is planned at 3,118 in 2024, which is twice as much as in 2021 (1,417). Next year, UEC expects to deliver 3,763 power plants to customers.
This includes the PD-8 engines for the SJ-100 and MC-21 aircraft, the VK-1600V and VK-650V for the Ka-62, Ka-226 helicopters, and the TV7-117ST-01 for the Il-114-300.
Earlier it was reported that serial production of the PD-14 will begin this year. The engine should replace foreign power plant models on the MC-21 as part of the import substitution program. It was planned to install PD-8 engines on Be-200 amphibious aircraft.
