Belarus and Russia are actively developing cooperation in aircraft construction, Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee Dmitry Pantus said. According to him, the two countries are very closely interacting and constantly expanding joint programs.
Among the key partners for the neighboring republic are Russian Rosoboronexport and the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). The parties have already begun developing the creation of a new Su-75 aircraft. The Sukhoi Design Bureau is working on it.
Su-75 is a light single-engine fifth-generation fighter. The aircraft will be equipped with an artificial intelligence system to support the pilot. The fighter will also have high flight performance and stealth.
The aircraft is made using stealth technologies, equipped with an internal fuselage compartment for air-to-air and air-to-surface aviation weapons. The payload will exceed seven tons. The fighter will be able to simultaneously engage up to six targets.
The speed of a single-engine aircraft is 1.8 Mach, and the combat radius is 3 thousand km. The machine will be equipped with a highly efficient power plant.
The exact timing of the program has not yet been announced, but it is obvious that cooperation between Belarus and Russia in aircraft construction is reaching a new level.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Dan-M decoy drones with a jet engine were developed in Russia.
