Russia Ready to Transfer License to India for Production of R-37M Air-to-Air Missiles

Bulgarian Military: R-37M missile carriers are Su-57, Su-30, MiG-31BM, MiG-35 aircraft

Russia has offered India to replace the R-77 air-to-air missile for Su-30MKI fighters with the R-37M. At the same time, Moscow is ready to transfer the license for its production to New Delhi. This is according to Bulgarian Military.

R-37M is a long-range air-to-air missile designed to engage important targets (AWACS aircraft, tanker aircraft) beyond visual range.

The missile is equipped with a detachable rocket booster, which increased its range to 400 km. The speed of the R-37M is up to Mach 6.

R-37M missile guidance system: inertial, with an active radar homing head. The missile control system includes an advanced digital processor that increases its accuracy.
