A multi-purpose fifth-generation Su-57 fighter (developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau) with a marking indicating a link with the heavy UAV "Okhotnik" S-70 was spotted at one of the airbases in Russia. This was reported by Bulgarian Military.
The marking may indicate a special configuration of the Su-57 or its new tactical role as a UAV control point.
The presence of such a marking may indicate the start of testing software for the interaction of the Su-57 with the "Okhotnik", suggested Bulgarian Military expert Boyko Nikolov.
It could be an advanced data transmission system, artificial intelligence-based control, or equipping the Su-57 with an S-30 control interface. This will allow the fighter pilot to control the UAV in real time.
