Iran has requested the latest Geran-4 and Geran-5 attack drones from Russia. This was reported by the Financial Times, citing its own sources.
Foreign journalists noted that the capabilities of Russian drones have significantly increased recently.
Tehran has approached Moscow with a request for advanced Geran drones.
Recall that the Geran-5 jet drone accelerates up to 600 km/h, has a range of up to 1,000 km, and carries a 90 kg warhead.
The drone is also equipped with a guidance system with artificial intelligence elements and antennas resistant to electronic warfare systems.
The total production potential for Geran-5 drones in Russia was estimated at approximately 5 thousand units per month.
Analysts from "Voennaya Khronika" noted that the Geran-5 plant in the Alabuga special economic zone continues to expand. New assembly shops and warehouses have already been observed there.
