The Russian attack drone "Geran-4" has received a new reinforced airframe, a turbojet engine, and the ability to actively maneuver at speeds up to 500 km/h. This was reported by the "Reporter" publication, citing foreign sources.
The apparatus has received a completely new aerodynamic design with a reinforced structure. The wings are no longer detachable from the center section, and the number of technological hatches on the body has been reduced to decrease air resistance.
The main feature of the "Geran-4" is the transition to Telefly LX-WP-160 and Telefly TF-TJ2000A engines. Thanks to this, the drone can reach speeds of up to 500 km/h and climb to an altitude of up to 5000 m.
The "Geran-4" is also capable of carrying a 50 kg high-explosive fragmentation or thermobaric warhead, or an enlarged thermobaric warhead up to 90 kg. The maximum flight range is estimated at approximately 450 km.
