Saratov engineer Sergey Stepanov proposed an unusual power unit for an autonomous four-wheeled platform. Its peculiarity is that the wheels themselves are not driven – movement should be created by the hybrid engine itself.

Two mechanisms operate within the design. The first uses two levers with weights at their ends, which synchronously rotate in opposite directions. The second is a high-speed electric motor with a multi-bladed air propeller – an impeller.
The main problem of a conventional inertioid, according to the author, is recoil. When the levers brake, a negative thrust component appears, which can cause the platform to partially lose its accumulated motion.

According to the author's calculations, the main work should be performed by the inertioid part, and the impeller should only compensate for negative thrust. The document provides an approximate power ratio of 5:1 in favor of the inertioid system.
From the editors of "Pervy Tekhnichesky": the engineer's idea is shattered by a basic school law of physics – the law of conservation of momentum, according to which it is impossible to move a trolley by pushing it from the inside.

No rotation of weights inside the machine will make it move forward without relying on wheels or asphalt.
