Engineer Anatoly Krishtop from Noginsk proposed an unusual method for controlling a jet engine. Instead of a complex nozzle deflection system, he developed a design with a flexible metal tube – a bellows.

The development is intended for pulsejet engines. According to the author's idea, the straight section of the nozzle is replaced by a metal bellows. The flexible tube can deflect in different directions, effectively changing the position of the engine's exhaust part.
It is proposed to control the structure using two electromagnets. One is responsible for moving the nozzle in the vertical plane, the second – in the horizontal. When working simultaneously, they will be able to change the direction of jet thrust along two axes at once.

The main idea of the development is to obtain a controlled thrust vector without complex, heavy, and expensive mechanisms used in turbojet engines. According to the author, such a scheme is capable of increasing the maneuverability and range of aircraft with pulsejet engines.
