Another dry cargo ship of project RSD59, "Volgo-Don max" class, was built at the "Krasnoye Sormovo" plant. It has already entered sea trials: the vessel left the outfitting quay and sailed into the Volga River. This was reported by USC.

During the trials, the plant's delivery team and representatives of the register will check the propulsion system, rudder propellers, navigation equipment, automation, and communication systems. The vessel's maneuverability and speed characteristics at different operating modes will be assessed separately.

The "Volgo-Don max" class refers to the maximum possible dimensions for the Volga-Don Shipping Canal: the cargo capacity is optimally utilized within the limitations of inland waterways. The vessel carries general and bulk cargo, including grain, round timber, metal in bundles and coils, coal, and dangerous goods of category "B", which allows it to operate in various directions and in mixed logistics chains.
