Uralvagonzavod has delivered new batches of T-90M "Proryv" and T-72B3M tanks with improved all-aspect protection to the Russian army. The new vehicles were sent to the troops on the eve of Tanker's Day, and their design continues to change under the influence of combat experience and new threats.

For modern tanks, it's no longer just about strengthening individual sections of armor. UVZ is consistently increasing the complex of measures that enhance the survivability of the vehicle and crew.
Earlier, Rostec reported that about 200 changes related to protection, mobility, and combat capabilities were made to the design of the concern's combat vehicles.

One of the key areas has been protection against drones. in September 2026, UVZ announced the launch of serial equipping of T-80BVM with a new assault kit that covers the vehicle from all projections with high-strength steel ropes. For the T-90M and T-72B3M, the concern also announces an improvement in all-aspect protection, but the specific composition of the new configuration of the delivered batch is not disclosed.
Before shipment, each tank undergoes factory checks and must travel at least 100 km. Testers check the running gear, weapons, control systems, navigation equipment, and the operation of other units, after which the vehicles are handed over to the military.
