Artificial intelligence is becoming a co-author in children's literature – together with humans, it will create both text and images. This was stated to TASS by St. Petersburg writer Evgenia Rusinova, author of more than 70 books.
In a living book, 60% of the success comes from the author's text and 40% from the illustration, but the image still needs to be generated according to one's requirements, first by describing it in words.
Perhaps children should move into this format – learn to tell stories through prompts for artificial intelligence, so that the image then picks up this story.
In her opinion, it is pointless to resist technological development: many generated books are already appearing, and they are suitable for light reading.
A publication written by a living person will become a collector's item – Rusinova allows for a gift or priority format, and it will be valued like handmade items.
The writer herself requests information from AI, but always double-checks it. She first sees the story in her head, for example, as a cartoon, and only then describes it in words: this way, the plots are dynamic, and the reader feels smells and tastes.
