Kalashnikov Concern has sent another batch of 9M333 surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) for the Strela-10 missile system and its modifications to the customer as part of the execution of a state contract. Military personnel use high-precision SAMs in real combat operations. This was reported by the concern's press service.

The 9M333 SAM effectively hits aerial targets, even if the enemy uses various types of interference (chaff, parachuted, optical), drones, and interceptor missiles. Its main advantage over other similar products is the multi-mode seeker head (GOS): photocontrast (in daylight), infrared (in darkness), and jamming (homes in on the source of active interference).

Characteristics of 9M333 SAM:

  • Average speed — 550 m/s
  • Target engagement altitude — from 10 m to 3500 m
  • Operates on the "fire-and-forget" principle
  • Missile weight — 41 kg
  • Length — 2223 mm
  • Warhead weight — 5 kg

The Kalashnikov press service stated that in 2026, the concern received more state contracts for the supply of 9M333 SAMs. This is due to excellent feedback from Russian Armed Forces personnel.

Serial deliveries of the product in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defence have been ongoing since 2021.
Alan Lushnikov, CEO of Kalashnikov

Thanks to increased production capacity, the concern is fulfilling missile deliveries on time, Lushnikov concluded.
